This Sunday we're discussing Elder Edward B. Rowe's April 2025 talk 'Choose Jesus Christ as Your Guide.' Elder Rowe was once sent to work in a remote border region that had recently been a war zone, thousands of land mines, and not all of them mapped. Before he set out, he was given one instruction: Follow your guide, Winta. Walk in his footsteps. Where he goes, you go. Where he steps, you step. For several days, Elder Rowe did exactly that, and came home safely.

Elder Rowe draws a direct line from following Winta to following Christ: both guides know the terrain from personal experience. What makes Christ's guidance extraordinary is that His Atonement was not just for humanity as a whole, it was for each person individually. He knows your specific strengths, weaknesses, and circumstances, which means He knows exactly how to guide you.
Elder Rowe taught that 'while the Savior's Atonement is infinite, His invitation is individual', He suffered not just for humanity but for each of us personally.

This week, before the sacrament on Sunday or in personal prayer, tell Heavenly Father specifically where you feel like you're walking through uncertain terrain right now, and ask Christ, as your guide, to show you the next step.
Elder Rowe promises directly: 'You will feel the Savior's love, be blessed with His strength, and have greater trust in Him. Even your very natures will change to become more like Him. You will feel more joy.'
