This Sunday we're discussing a talk by Elder Pedro X. Larreal called 'I Feel My Savior's Love.' He focuses on something simple and profound: the sacrament is the ordinance Christ gave specifically for us, he uses the word 'you' deliberately. Elder Larreal opens with a warning from President Oaks, who was quoting President Nelson, that in the days ahead it will not be possible to survive spiritually without the constant influence of the Holy Ghost. Not difficult. Not challenging. Impossible. Elder Larreal then makes a quiet pivot: he says we can renew that influence every single week. He points us to the sacrament.
Teach this first
When Christ instituted the sacrament, both in Jerusalem and among the Nephites, he kept using the word 'you.' Elder Larreal points this out deliberately: 'This is my body which is given for you. This cup is shed for you.' The sacrament is not a generic religious ritual. It is Christ addressing each of us individually, offering His atoning sacrifice as a personal gift and renewing the promise that His Spirit will be with us.
Elder Larreal invites us to notice: 'The Lord uses the pronoun you again and again to emphasize and remind us that the sacrament is for us, for you and for me.'

Elder Larreal, drawing on Christ's own words in 3 Nephi, promises that those who come to the sacrament with a broken heart will receive the companionship and constant guidance of the Holy Ghost.
